The same problem, two different rooms

An MSME approaching a bank for the first time and a founder approaching an investor for the first time are doing the same thing: asking someone who doesn't know them to commit capital based on a short conversation.

The businesses that get what they want from those conversations have one thing in common. They walked in structured. Financials that told a clear story. A well-articulated ask. Documentation that answered the obvious questions before they were asked.

The businesses that don't — regardless of how strong the underlying operation is — consistently get worse outcomes. Lower credit limits. Higher interest rates. Offers below valuation expectations. Or nothing at all.

This programme fixes the preparation before the conversation, for both audiences.

What we do

Financial Statement Review We review your last 2–3 years of financials — P&L, balance sheet, cash flows — from the perspective of the person you're going to be sitting across from. For MSMEs, that's a credit officer. For founders, that's an investor. We flag what they'll question, identify what needs to be clarified or corrected, and give you a clear picture of how your numbers read externally.

Narrative Development Your business has a story. Neither lenders nor investors want a data dump. They want to understand the business, the trajectory, the ask, and the rationale — in that order, in the right framing. We write the credit narrative or investment narrative that presents your fundamentals in the best credible light.

Information Memorandum or Investor Package For MSMEs, this is a structured IM covering your business overview, financial summary, credit ask, and repayment rationale — the document that goes to lenders before the meeting. For founders, this is an investor-ready package: one-pager, financial model, executive summary, and pitch notes. In both cases, a well-prepared package shortens timelines and signals seriousness.

Documentation Readiness We give you a complete list of what you need before you approach a lender or investor — certificates, statements, registrations, disclosures — so you're not chasing paperwork after you've already started the conversation.

Pathway to Full Advisory For MSMEs that are ready after this programme, we can move directly into a Structured Debt Advisory mandate — approaching lenders on your behalf with the IM and credit narrative already built. For founders, this programme feeds naturally into Startup Fundraising Advisory.

  • Bootstrapped businesses considering their first external round
  • Founders who have pitched and heard "come back when you have more traction" and want a clear view of what that actually means

How it works

Start with a Credit Health Review — free, 30 minutes. We assess where you stand and confirm whether this programme is the right starting point or whether you're ready to go straight to a full advisory mandate.

Programme engagement — typically 3–6 weeks. Financial review, narrative development, IM or investor package preparation, documentation checklist.

Handoff or mandate — you leave with a complete lender-ready or investor-ready package. If you want Evolv to handle the approach as well, we move into the relevant full advisory mandate.
